WHELAN PRESS
Only the Whelan Press etching presses feature a stationary press bed made from solid 12 ga stainless steel. A significant innovation in etching press design, usability and safety.
- The stationary press bed design provides perpendicular tracking of the print roller across the length of the press bed. Proper tracking of the print roller is critical in eliminating blanket creep.
- The press bed is designed to flex and conform to the print roller, eliminating traditional bed warp.
- The press bed and plate conform to the shape of the print roller. The roller, bed and plate act in concert with each other to produce superior results while also compensating for irregular plate surfaces.
- Safety concerns normally associated with moving press beds are eliminated with the Whelan Press stationary table. There are no bed stops to set and maintain and no rolling press bed to keep level.
- The innovative stationary bed requires no leveling and can be utilized as a work surface when not in use or rolled away.
